This position provides technical support related to the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of desktop computer hardware, software, peripherals, and related networking within the University Libraries and areas within the Learning Commons @ Perry Library.
Required Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows 10, MacOS), hardware, software and peripheral functions. Basic knowledge of personal computer hardware configuration. Demonstrated basic ability to communicate professionally and effectively with libraries staff. Basic analytical and troubleshooting skills and ability to solve problem in a timely manner or escalate if needed. Basic experience providing service, support and maintenance of desktop computers, peripherals and mobile devices in an enterprise environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy. Some experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager. Some experience with Mac OS in a JAMF Casper environment. Basic working knowledge of TCP/IP networking. Basic working knowledge of ticketing system (ServiceNow preferred).
Conditions of Employment:
Standard work schedule is Monday-Friday 8-5pm. Evening or weekend hours may occasionally be needed to support special projects.
